Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey, if you prefer)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12 mini burger buns (or slider buns)
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (optional, or any other pizza toppings you like)
Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Olive oil (for toasting buns, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Make the Burger Patties:In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Divide the mixture into small portions and form mini patties that will fit the size of your buns (usually about 1.5 inches wide).
Cook the Patties:Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F if you’re using beef).
Alternatively, you can grill the patties.
Toast the Buns (optional):While the patties are cooking, slice your mini burger buns in half.
If you like a crispy bun, brush them with a little olive oil and toast them on a skillet or in the oven until golden brown.
Assemble the Mini Pizza Burgers:Spoon a little marinara or pizza sauce onto the bottom half of each bun.
Place a cooked burger patty on top.
Add a spoonful of pizza sauce on top of the patty, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Optionally, top with sliced pepperoni or any other pizza toppings you like (mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, etc.).
Melt the Cheese:Place the assembled mini pizza burgers in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and starts to bubble.
Serve:Remove from the oven, and top with fresh basil leaves if desired. Add the top bun, and serve immediately while warm!
