{"id":296,"date":"2023-03-03T00:33:39","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T00:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fofig.com\/?p=296"},"modified":"2023-03-03T00:33:39","modified_gmt":"2023-03-03T00:33:39","slug":"strawberry-cheesecake-trifle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fofig.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/03\/strawberry-cheesecake-trifle\/","title":{"rendered":"Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:~~~~<br \/>\nStrawberries:<br \/>\n2 pints fresh strawberries, hulled and cubed<br \/>\n1\/3 cup granulated sugar<br \/>\n1 lemon, juiced<br \/>\n1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling<br \/>\nVanilla cheesecake mousse:<br \/>\n2 (8) oz cream cheese softened<br \/>\n2 cup powdered sugar divided<br \/>\n4 cup heavy cream divided<br \/>\n1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 angel food or vanilla pound cake cubed<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:~~~~<br \/>\nMix together the cubed strawberries with 1\/3 cup granulated sugar and 1 juiced lemon. Stir well then set aside to macerate while you make the filling.<br \/>\nWhip together 2 [8] oz softened cream cheese with 1 1\/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 1\/2 cup heavy cream. Add 1 Tbsp pure vanilla. Whip for 2-3 minutes until creamy, fluffy and combined. In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 2 1\/2 cup heavy cream with 1\/2 cup powdered sugar, more if desired. Whip until stiff peaks form.<br \/>\nFold 2 cup of the whipped sweetened fresh cream into the cheesecake mixture by hand. Reserve the remaining whipped sweetened fresh cream for the top of the trifle.<br \/>\nAdd the strawberry pie filling to the macerated strawberries, mix well.<br \/>\nTo assemble, alternate layers of cubed cake, strawberries, and vanilla cheesecake mousse. Repeat until all ingredients have been used.<br \/>\nTop with the remaining sweetened fresh whipped cream and garnish as desired.
