Years ago, I saw this recipe on the Pioneer Woman website. I am addicted from the first bite. If you haven&#8217;t tried this dish before, now is the time to do so! You will not be sorry\u2026. Mountain Dew was called for in the original recipe. I tested it with Mountain Dew and it tastes just as good as Sierra Mist, 7-UP, or Sprite. I am using a coffee substitute for my cardiac purpose (SVT).<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">*ingredients<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\">ingredients:<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">1 large apple {I used Fuji- any apple will do, tart is best}<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">1 box of Crescent Pillsbury dough<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">1\/2 cup of butter<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">2\/3 cup of sugar<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">1\/2 teaspoon cinnamon<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">1\/2 teaspoon vanilla<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">3\/4 cup or 6 ounces 7-Up or equivalent {half of a can}<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">*How to Make Apple Muffins for the Pioneer Woman:<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Dumplings:<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Preheat\u00a0 oven 350 degrees F. Grease an 8&#8243; x 8&#8243; baking pan.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Cutting each apple into 8-10 wedges.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Cutting\u00a0 apple peel to slices as well and set apart.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Separate\u00a0 crescent dough to triangles.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Roll every apple slice to a crescent-roll dough, starting at the wide end.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Pinch it to close also covering apple and place it in the baking dish. {This is easiest if you dry the apple slice first and then roll the dough around it.}<br \/>\nMelting the butter in a small saucepan and add the sugar and cinnamon. Heat and whisk to blend.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\">The mix will combine also thicken. When it becomes thick, remove from heat and add vanilla.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">Pour the cinnamon mixture over the apple muffins. Pour soda over dumplings.
