{"id":879,"date":"2023-11-06T13:46:44","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T13:46:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fofig.com\/?p=879"},"modified":"2023-11-06T13:46:44","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T13:46:44","slug":"wonton-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fofig.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/06\/wonton-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"wonton soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>WONTONS<\/p>\n<p>8 ounces ground pork<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon sesame oil<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>2 green onions, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>24 square (3\u00bd inches each) wonton wrappers<\/p>\n<p>SOUP<\/p>\n<p>6 cups (1,440g) chicken broth<\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd teaspoons garlic, minced<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon sesame oil<\/p>\n<p>2-3 green onions, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>PREPARATION:<\/p>\n<p>WONTONS<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl combine pork, rice wine, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, and onion. Mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Place 1 heaping teaspoon of filling into the center of each wonton wrapper.<br \/>\nMoisten edges with water and fold the corners together, pressing out any excess air. (It should look like a triangle).<\/p>\n<p>Slightly lift the long edge of the wonton. Wrap the edges in the opposite directions and press firmly to seal, using your finger to create a space and wetting the edges as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Continue with the rest of the wontons and let them rest while you prepare the soup.<\/p>\n<p>SOUP<\/p>\n<p>In a medium pot over medium heat add chicken broth, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate large pot, bring about 4 quarts of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add wontons and cook for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Strain the wontons and add them to the warm broth mixture.
