Applesauce Bread 🍎🍞
Moist, soft, and full of warm cinnamon flavor — this easy applesauce bread is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Add-Ins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, applesauce, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in any optional add-ins if desired.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
